in top sport events I guess it's because they are either used as breeding
horses, or used for "private" pleasure rides.

A: It is good that the Tekes are bred here, as long as it is the right horses, otherwise we maybe have to produce 500 Tekes in order to create an endurance star!
There is an Akhal-Teke for everyone, the Tekes as excellent companions and should be used as family and hobby animals as well, they are selected for millenia to live close to their masters family. This trait is now lost in many warmblood breeds that have been selected very hard for other traits. One part of the breeding goal must be to protect the excellent temperament of the Tekes.
