Q: How in the world is this breeds name pronounced? I have looked
everywhere!!!

A: The name is pronounced with the stress on the second syllable in each word.

In "Akhal" - the stress on the second "a" and both "a"-s are pronounced as "u" in "run", NOT "a" in "cat".
"kh" is pronounced close to the German "ch" in "Ich"; or Dutch "g" in "groot"; or Russian "x" in ""khorosho", ie it's what in phonetics is called a guttural "h" (as opposed to aspirated "h" in "hot").

In "Teke" - the stress is on the second "e" and both "e"-s are pronounced as "e" in "pet", NOT "e" in "peat" or "pete" or "fleet".
