As we have many horses that have to be worked over quite a short period I'm grateful that I have my mini-grooms around to help out.
It's also great to have such nice and easy horses like the Tekes to work with. They all love to work and they all behave so good, we are really spoiled with such a pleasant group of horses. Tekes are really family horses! The ability for Tekes to interact nicely with kids is an important trait in this breed that needs to be maintained.

Tekes are pleasant for the eye as well as for the soul!

At this point we have backed the three year olds and they are now beginning their training under rider. They are all well-balanced under rider and work in a nice form for three- year- olds.
The two- year-olds are being used to saddle and bridle as well as introduced to lungeing, they love all the attention as try to do as good as they can. Orion has been worked a little longer being a colt and is now working in a nice form with the rubber band.

Oh gosh, I do remember how hot it gets in FL! I really don't miss that about the Sunshine State! I use to ride late at night to avoid the heat. Even in the morning sometimes it was still a bit muggy. The barn I rode at had lights in the arena so they could have night time lessons and rides...a luxury I don't have anymore but luckily TN weather isn't nearly as humid or hot as FL is. It can zap the energy right out of you!

Lovely photos! Very good that you can trust your children with the horses, that's the kind of temper I like in a horse.
