In January I will publish a list of the winners of The TekeBlog Tekes of the Year 2006. Tekes can be entered in the following categories:

Racing
Polo
Show jumping
Dressage
Eventing
Endurance
Trekking
Hunter classes
Western classes
In hand classes (Official Akhal-Teke Breed Shows)
Breed evaluation/Quality tests for sport horses
Ambassador of the breed (open for Tekes outside the CIS countries that have, in a significant way, contributed to make the breed more known to the public)

The date, place and status of the show must be entered as well as name of rider,name of owner, name of trainer, name of horse sire-dam-dam's sire and name of breeder must be entered for every Teke that wants to compete for this prestigious title. The process will be open as horses will be entered in the competition as comments and the Teke with the best placement considering status and place will be selected as well as an overall winner. If only one Teke is entered in one category this Teke will win the first price.
Tekes can be entered until December 20th and the winners will be announced in January. I will be looking for a sponsor for extraordinary ribbons to be sent to all Tekes that win. Results for Partbred Tekes can be entered but they cannot participate in the competition, only pure breds can win.
