When he saw our Tekes he told us he and his brother had once trained a Teke (for a sheik) for the Quatar marathon, we told him it must have been Gal (Gilkuiruk), owned by our friend Guy Khoury, and it was indeed this horse he had trained!
The world is really small when it comes to Tekes and this trainer was amazed that he could meet people in Florida from Sweden who knew the owner of the only Teke he has seen before.
What did he think of our Tekes? Well, he liked Orion with his strong build and nice personality.
